Segovia and the Guadarrama mountains

This is a 3-days long, circular route, for moderate cyclists, with smooth profiles and middle distances, and some km by sandy trails.

But its main attraction is the food, and in particular three typical dishes from Segovia: 'parro' or roasted duck at Coca, baby lamb at Turegano, suckling pig at Segovia, Cantimpalos "chorizo" as appetizer and for dessert pastry of cloistered nuns. Starting and finishing in Segovia, the spectacular World Heritage City, this is a tour of Castilian delights, with gentle legs through the greenway of the Eresma river, pine forests and rainfed crops, Romanesque cloisters and castles, the banks of the river Piron, and the mountains of Guadarrama as background scenery.

Since 1985 the Old Town of Segovia and its Aqueduct, are World Heritage Sites.

Turegano is part of the network of the magical towns of Spain.
