The optical telegraphs of Madrid by bike

These are a couple of circular pedals, one day, one for moderate cyclists and another for intermediate cyclists, which will take us to know the towers of the optical telegraph that was developed in Spain in the mid-19th century.

The first is a round-trip route from the Collado Villalba train station to the summit of Cabeza Mediana de Moralzarzal to get a closer look at tower No. 4 of the telegraphic line that linked Madrid with Irun. And the second is a circular route that takes us to Arganda del Rey and Perales de Tajuña, where we see towers No. 4 and No. 5 of the Valencia line. A cultural cycle between mountains and moors of Madrid.

This route runs through Manzanares river bassin, a site classified as SCI (Site of Community Importance) in the Natura 2000 network.
