The rocky mass of the Montgó
This is a one day, circular, easy route, for initiates, that starts in Dénia, and runs around the massif of Montgó, a spectacular mountain of large limestone walls rising more than 700 m on the banks of the Mediterranean Sea.
This unique area was declared a Natural Park in May 1987, and its ride around in bike allows us to know closely its agricultural environment, its different landscapes and cliffs at Cape San Antonio, always by paths and little roads almost without traffic. The itinerary can be combined with the mini-cruise between the ports of Xàbea and Dénia.
This route runs through Macizo del Montgó Natural Park, sites classified as SCI (Site of Community Importance) in the Natura 2000 network.
The city of Dénia was designated a UNESCO City of Gastronomy in 2015.
