This is a circular route, of 2-days ride, for intermediate cyclists, with some ramps in the local roads, of little traffic, that surround to the Hoces de Riaza Natural Park.
Another lovely little corner of Segovia, with dozens of griffon vultures, hundreds of junipers, and a handful of pretty villages to enjoy, including Maderuelo.
Maderuelo is part of the network of the most beautiful towns of Spain.
This route runs through the Hoces del Río Riaza Natural Park, site classified as SCI (Site of Community Importance) and SPA (Special Protection Area) in the Natura 2000 network.
Day 1.- Transportation to Milagros. Ride from Milagros to Maderuelo (36 km), along the gorges of the Riaza river. Visit to the hermitage of Casuar. Lodging.
Day 2.- Ride from Maderuelo to Milagros (28 km). Visits to the enebral de Hornuez and the chapel, and the Park House in Montejo de la Vega de la Serrezuela. Transportation back home.
NOTE: From January 1st to July 31nd, to pedal along the preserved area of the Natural Park, is compulsory to apply for permission at the Park House, in Montejo de la Vega.
