Along grasslands, with the Valmayor dam at the background

Starting from Collado Villalba train station we travel more than 70 km through the Regional Park of the Middle Guadarrama River, to end at Serranillos del Valle, and from there get again the train in Humanes.

On first day we cycle along the typical grasslands that characterize Madrid mountains foothills. On the second one we pedal across riparian vegetation and plantations up to the southern limit of the province.

This route runs through Guadarrama river basin, a site classified as SCI (Site of Community Importance) in the Natura 2000 network.

Scheduled itinerary: 

Day 1.- Train to Collado Villalba. Ride from Villalba to Brunete (42 km), by the Guadarrama river basin. Visit to the castle of Aulencia, and the historical center of Brunete. Lodging.
Day 2.- Ride from Brunete to Humanes (42 km), by the Guadarrama river basin. Train back home.
