This is a linear route, for moderate cyclists, with a significant length of approximately 165 km of riding in four days.
In its first part it runs along the greenways of the Val del Zafán, Terra Alta and the Baix Ebre, linking Alcañiz, in the region of the Lower Aragon, with Tortosa, already on the banks of the Ebro river, passing through the Beceite mountains by a complex system of tunnels and viaducts. From here, and following the natural way GR-99, we reach the spectacular landscape of the delta of the river Ebro, which we will explore to its mouth.
Since 2013 the Lands of the Ebro are a Biosphere Reserve.
Ebro Delta Natural Park is a protected wetland according to the RAMSAR Convention, as well as being listed as SCI (Site of Community Importance) and as SPA (Special Protection Area) in the Natura 2000 network.
The availability of accommodation every 20-40 km makes this itinerary ideal to be ADAPTABLE to the needs of each traveler, including families and senior cyclists.
