This is a linear route, easy but long, for intermediate cyclists. More than 120 km of greenways that cross the heart of the Andalusian olive-growing area along three days.
The route follows the track of the old train of the olive oil, that snakes between the foothills of the Subbetica mountains and a sea of olive trees. We go through some picturesque villages such as Luque, Zuheros, Doña Mencía, Cabra and Lucena, most of them dotted with proud castles and old stations converted into attractive restaurants or visitor centres. All thanks to nine impressive metal viaducts of the 19th century that witness the effort to join all the producing regions of the liquid gold.
Zuheros is member of the net the most beautiful towns of Spain, and Cabra is part of the network of the magical towns of Spain.
The Subbeticas mountains are a Geopark.
This route runs through the Lagoon Honda, site classified as SCI (Site of Community Importance) in the Natura 2000 network.
Although there is a stretch of more than 40 km without accommodation options, in the rest of the locations on the greenway there is a wide range of accommodation every 20-40 km, which makes this itinerary ideal to be ADAPTABLE to the needs of every traveler, including families and senior cyclists.
