This is a simple, circular weekend ride for initiated cyclists, in which we will visit an astronomical observatory very close to Madrid.
We start our ride in Madrid and go to the Retiro Park to visit the Royal Observatory, from the late 18th century, and see its collections, its Foucault pendulum and the reconstruction of the 25-foot Herschel telescope. Then we take the train and go to Guadalajara, from where the next day, following secondary roads and tracks, we arrive at the Yebes Astronomical Centre. After visiting the Astronomy Workshop, we return to Guadalajara. Another one of stars.
Day 1.- Visit to the Royal Observatory of Madrid. Transport to Guadalajara. Lodging.
Day 2.- Ride from Guadalajara to the Observatorio Astronómico de Yebes (23 km). Visit to the Astronomy Workshop. Bike ride back and return transport.
