This is a very simple route, of a weekend, for beginners, a round trip for resting and taking care of yourself in the Balneario de Ledesma (Salamanca). Since the Roman times of Hispania, the virtues of these sulphurous waters have been recommended, and cataloged in 1886 as an Mineral-medicinal Interest Asset. Starting from the city of Salamanca, a World Heritage Site, we ride along the banks of the Tormes River, discovering unique places such as the arte emboscado (ambushed art) of the Tormes Foundation, or the magical town of Juzbado, before arriving at the Balneario de Ledesma, a Historic-Artistic Monument. since 1934. For those who extend their visit, just 10 km away is the fascinating walled city of Ledesma.
Ledesma is part of the network of the most beautiful towns in Spain.
Since 1988, the old city of Salamanca is a World Heritage Site.
This route runs through the banks of the river Tormes and tributaries, sites classified as SCI (Site of Community Importance) in the Natura 2000 network.
Day 1.- Transport to Salamanca. Ride to the Baños de Ledesma (29 km), by the banks of the river Tormes. Visits to the Arte Emboscado of Almenara de Tormes, and the balneary of Ledesma. Lodging.
Day 2.- Ride back from the balneary to Salamanca (29 km), by the same route. Visits to the Museum of the Fault of Juzbado. Transport back home.
