This is a 3-days, linear route, for initiates, that runs the greenway of the Rockrouses, part of the failed railway project to link the basins of the Tagus and the Guadiana rivers.
We start rolling from the banks of the Tagus river in Talavera de la Reina, and continue along the greenway of the Rockrouses, to Gargantilla. Then we continue to the end of the greenway, in the tunnel of Santa Quiteria, and through paths, local roads and catle routes throughout the region of La Jara. Before ending the route in Puente del Arzobispo, we visit the medieval city of Vascos, at the Tagus rivershores.
This route runs through the Rincon del Torozo, site classified as SCI (Site of Community Importance); and the Tagus river in Azután, and berrocales of Tagus river, areas protected as SCI and SPA (Special Protection Area) in the Natura 2000 network.
