This is a 4-riding-days, circular route, for advanced cyclists, that goes through the deep gorges of the High Atlas, in a captivating desertic landscape with almost 3000 m high mountain passes.
From Marrakech, where we will enjoy a full day to explore this legendary city, we will go to Tinghir, which means 'from the mountain', in Tamazight language. We will climb up by the river Todra gorges and will cross the High Atlas mountains to get Agoudal, from where a spectacular road winds up gaining metres to almost 3000 m. Just left rolling down the deep gorge of the Dades, passing through picturesque villages and seeing its wonderful rock formations.
Since 1985 the Medina of Marrakech is a World Heritage Site.
Day 2.- Rest day in Marrakech. Visit to the medina. Lodging.
Day 3.- Transportation from Marrakech to Tinghir. Lodging at Hotel Tombouctu.
Day 4.- Ride from Tinghir to Ait Daoud (58 km), through the gorges of the Todra river. Lodging at Auberge Carrefour Camping.
Day 5.- Ride from Ait Daoud to Agoudal (30 km). Climbing up the Tizi n’Tirherhouzine pass (2683 m). Lodging.
Day 6.- Ride from Agoudal to M'semrir (64 km) through the gorges of the Dades river. Climbing up the Tizi-n-Ouano pass (2900 m). Lodging.
Day 7.- Ride from M'semrir to Boumalne Dades (60 km). Lodging.
Day 8.- Transportation from Boumalne to Marrakech. Lodging.
Day 9.- Transportation back home.
