Mit dem Fahrrad zu den Sternen - CALH, Puebla de Almoradiel - Toledo

This is a weekend, linear, easy route for beginners, in which we are going to visit an observatory very close to Madrid.

We go to Quintanar de la Orden by transportation and the follow the greenway of the 'Trenillo' (Little Train) to get La Puebla de Almoradiel and visited the astronomical complex of La Hita. After the previous explanations, the visit to the installations and the observation of the sky by the telescope, we left at night and cycled back to La Puebla, where we stayed. On the next day we continue pedalling the greenway and complete it to Villacañas, from where we will transport back home.

This route runs through La Mancha wetlands, sites classified as SCI (Site of Community Importance) and as SPA (Special Protection Area) in the Natura 2000 network.
