This is our second long-distance route proposal. It is a linear route, for advanced cyclists, of three weeks, along the mountains that separate the basins of the rivers that pour water into the Cantabrian Sea, and those of the Duero and the Ebro.
From the mouth of the Bidasoa river in the bay of Txingudi, to Burgos, we pedal almost 650 km, discovering the sources of the Larraun, Nervión and Ebro rivers, the source of Pozo Azul, and ride up to Pico Tres Mares (2175 m), the roof of the entire route. We rode along the Bidasoa, Plazaola, or Santander-Mediterraneo greenways, through the Las Loras, and the natural monuments of Monte Santiago and Ojo Guareña.
Since 1984, the cathedral of Burgos is a World Heritage Site.
In addition, we remind you that Burgos was the Spanish Capital of Gastronomy 2013.
Since 2015, Burgos has been a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy.
Monte Santiago and Ojo Guareña are Natural Monuments.
