This is a two-days, linear route for advanced cyclists who want to ride isolated tracks and roads while immersing themselves in an almost unknown historical chapter.
We will visit an old optical telegraphy line that visually linked 11 towers from Tarancón to Cuenca. This mid-19th century technology lasted only 15 years before being overtaken by modern telegraphy. On this route we will reach these telegraph towers by bike, or at least the base of the knolls, from where we will be able to walk until we get them, some already completely surrounded by vegetation. We can also visit places such as the famous monastery of Uclés, the unknown hermitage of Riánsares or the old Roman mine of La Mora Encantada.
Since 1996 the fortified city of Cuenca is a World Heritage Site.
In addition, we remind you that Cuenca is the Spanish Capital of Gastronomy 2023.
