Der Greenway etwas nach dem Tunnel von Uitzi
This is a 2-days linear route, with two more days for transportation, for moderate cyclists, that starts in Pamplona and finishes in San Sebastian.
We leave the capital of Navarre to pedal by the valleys of the rivers Arakil and Larraun up to Lekumberri, and from here we get the greenway of Plazaola up to Andoain, pedalling the valley of the Leitzaran river. From Andoain and following bike lanes, we arrive to Donostia.
On 2016, Donostia - San Sebastián held the European Capital of Culture.
This route runs through Leitzaran river, a site classified as SCI (Site of Community Importance) in the Natura 2000 network.
Day 1.- Transportation to Iruña/Pamplona. Ride from Pamplona to Leitza (56 km), by the greenway of Plazaola. Lodging.
Day 2.- Ride from Leitza to Donostia/San Sebastián (44km), by the greenway of Plazaola and the Biotope of the Leitzaran valley. Visit to the Visitors Center of Andoain. Transportation back home.
