Die Vögel im Lagunas de Ruidera

This is a weekend, circular route, moderate and especially proposed for birding lovers.

Starting from Ossa de Montiel we will get the Lagunas de Ruidera Natural Park, a complex lagoon system composed of fifteen lagoons that spread over 30 kilometers making the valley of the Upper Guadiana. This unique natural environment is home to many aquatic and migratory birds that can be seen along the roads and tracks that runs on the shore of the lakes.

Since 1980 the Humid Mancha is a Biosphere Reserve.

The Lagunas de Ruidera Natural Park is a protected wetland according to the RAMSAR Convention, as well as being listed as SCI (Site of Community Importance) in the Natura 2000 network.
