Die Schluchten von Pirón und Viejo

This is a weekend, very easy route for intermediate riders, that starting from Segovia, runs along the beautiful canyons of the rivers Piron and Viejo.

We ride on by ravines and paths, to go in the canyons where we will explore its most interesting spots: caves, chapels, sinkholes... Surrounded by riverside and juniper forests, we will know quiet Segovian villages and learn from the raids of the bandit 'one-eyed Pirón'.

Since 1985 the Old Town of Segovia and its Aqueduct, are World Heritage Sites.

This route runs through Guadarrama mountains and bats cave, sites classified as SCI (Site of Community Importance); and also Guadarrama mountains is an area protected as SPA (Special Protection Area) in the Natura 2000 network.
