Von Cáceres nach Badajoz mit dem Fahrrad

This is a linear route, for intermediate cyclists, that joins the capitals of Extremadura by cattle tracks.

These cattle lands, crossed by ravines and paths, were the destination of many Transhumance routes. To warm up, we start from Cáceres, the World Heritage City, with a visit to Casar de Cáceres where we will get to know and taste its famous sheep cheese cake. We will continue the route rolling along the Cáceres-Badajoz Corridor Nature Trail, going through meadows and crossing streams to reach Badajoz in two days.

Since 1986, the Old town of Cáceres is a World Heritage Site.

In addition, we remind you that Cáceres was the Spanish Capital of Gastronomy 2015.

Since 1996, Los Barruecos has been a Natural Monument.

This route runs through the ciudad Monumental de Cáceres, the Llanos de Cáceres y Sierra de Fuentes, and the Sierra de San Pedro; areas protected as SPA (Special Protection Area) in the Natura 2000 network. Besides, the Sierra de San Pedro is also a site classified as SCI (Site of Community Importance).
